Social Endeavour’s
Mass Circumcisions Activities

On Saturday morning the 24th
of June 2006 FAIR engaged to support poor parents who in Muslims tradition would
like to circumcisions their sons but could not afford to do so. Once more this
is one of FAIR activities which we would like to contribute to the community.
That day we name the event
“Khitanan Massal” (Mass Circumcisions) and as this coincide with the birth of
Subud Founder Bpk. Mohammad Subuh Summohadiwidjojo so we add his name to
commemorate to the activities. This was our reason why we collaborated with
Subud Organizations because their Organization have human resources
specializing in medical and as well as building to home the event. For funds FAIR
was fortunate to have generous members and outside members as donateurs.
More over support were not just
arriving from fund gathering we also had full help from Doctors as well as
medical equipment from US AID which everything comes without charges.
They were amazingly seems so simple
we had everything in FAIR’s hand and all we had to do were to gather children
as our patients. We forwarded this good news to “Pesantren” and neighboring
community walla we had 23 children’s in our hands. Even though three dropped
out at the time of the event the day that started with “Prayers” and “Tumpeng” followed
by circumcisions operation were completed successfully. Thank you to all who
had contributed to the event directly nor indirectly.

Care for Others By FAIR
On the 2nd of June 2006 at one O’clock in the morning FAIR members represented by Ludwi Kaslam, Tedjo Panitro, Suryadi Haryono and Anita embarked on a journey to Jogya on a social mission to provide food supplies. In Jogya one full medium size truck carrying our aids were delivered straight to base camp SDI (Subud), ibu Lita, Jl.Perumnas B3, Condong sari, Jogja. All Aids were registered to the last item at base camp. That evening we focused on formulating these food supplies distributions. Decisions were made that evening to deliver to sites that were already registered by SDI volunteers and for the other sites we joined with Indonesian Offroader Associations to deliver our foodsupplies to their designated area. By the morning 3rd of June 2006, at SDI Basecamp we prepared and loaded these Food supplies onto two vehicles. One designated for Bantul and Parangtritis for their distributions area and another one went to Cawas sites in the Klaten vicinities (South of Jogya). That day our designated areas were approached successfully and all of us found meeting directly with the Earthquake victims were very rewarding. That evening at SDI Base camp we convey full report of our work and following that as our work were finished we departed the SDI base camp. Our team has done their contribution and returned to Jakarta on the 4th of June at 10:00 O’clock that morning.  FAIR Base Camp for Earthquake at Cawas Klaten |
